Yunomi 2
Yunomi 2
Yunomi is a Japanese word for teacup. Usually they are taller than they are wide and have a trimmed foot.
This one was fired in the anagama kiln at Pleasant Hill Pottery. The kiln was fired for 5 days and nights (over 108 hours). It was made with my blend of porcelain and has a lovely surface. It is glazed inside with my jun glaze, but the outer surface is just from the wood firing.
The power and velocity of the flame moved the clay during the firing, slightly altering the shape that it went in. I love when this happens in a pleasing way like with this pot.

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I high fire them until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.
If a pot you like is sold out, email me and I can make you a similar one! I also take commissions of all sorts; please email me if you have an idea.
I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.
I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.
