Gong dao bei 1

$120.00

A gong dao bei (“fairness cup”) is a pitcher used to ensure everyone receives the same strength and flavor of tea. It could also be used in the kitchen for pouring liquid (sauce, cream, milk, etc.).

This one came out particularly nicely. It was fired in the anagama kiln at Pleasant Hill Pottery for 5 days. It’s porcelain and all of the marks you see are from the woodfiring (there is no glaze on the outside). It was really one of my favorites that came out. I nearly did not put it up for sale. The inside has a chun glaze and got beautiful action in the kiln.

My pots are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. I high fire them until they’re vitrified, around 2350°F.

If a pot you like is sold out, email me and I can make you a similar one! I also take commissions of all sorts; please email me if you have an idea.

I ship with USPS and UPS and send tracking information after sending each order.

I ship internationally; it’s no problem, but it may require a little extra postage. It’s hard to estimate as it changes from country to country. For international orders, I will contact you if there is a discrepancy between what you pay and the actual cost.
