Frosty November morning

I awoke today to the first frost of the year. Chilly and beautiful. Here's some pictures.

Chilly sleepers.
Frosted nettles in the fore, the shack in the background.

Autumn!
Two flies hanging out on a leaf.
A Jew's Ear or Jelly Ear fungus. Growing on a dead branch outside the shack.
I put a couple of these in a lamb stew last week and have to say the results were disappointing.
Rubbery, slimy, disconcerting texture with no discernible taste.

Yesterday's wood stack, covered in frost.
